The Details
~Full Name: Cassiopeia Lindstrom
~Nickname/Alias: Cassie
~Gender: Female
~Age: 23
~Sexuality: Heterosexual
~Affiliation: Raider
~Occupation: Just your average Raider
At First Glance
~Appearance: There is no doubt that Cassie is a younger, carbon copy of her mother, in appearance anyway. She is the spitting image of everything on her mother’s side of the gene pool, with none of the elegance or manners to match. She’s very slim, almost painfully so, but with her high metabolism she could eat like a horse and put on little more than a few pounds.
Have you ever eaten chocolate so dark that it’s practically black? Yeah . . . she’s that colour, and her skin gleams in the sunlight. With a smooth complexion, large eyes and full lips, she’s attractive in some sort of way, but you never quite notice it with her for some reason. Maybe because you’re too busy being robbed by her to notice her face. Her eyes are a shade of brown so dark, her irises appear black, and are damn near indistinguishable from her pupils. Unlike most African hair, Cassie’s doesn’t have the nappy texture, but instead obeys the laws of gravity and falls past her shoulders in rough tangles. She might pull this back into a quick ponytail or plaits.
She has no defining marks. Her body merely bears the damage from two decades worth of wear and tear. Sure, a few burns and scrapes here and there, a few cuts on her hands, a couple of stretch marks on her hips from adolescent growth spurts, but doesn't everybody have them?
Cassie is also a natural night creature. Those days when the sun’s shining and the birds are singing, they just don’t capture her interest, and if she were Caucasian, she’d be as pale as anything. Instead, her dark skin tone blends in pretty nicely when it’s dark and dangerous out, making her even more difficult to spot when she’s hiding in long grass about to nick your stuff.

Personality: Eesh, time to get down to Cassie’s nitty gritty details, huh? Okay, here goes.
The most obvious thing that can be told from her is that she’s a no-nonsense kinda girl that doesn’t take crap from anyone. She’s the kind of girl who says what has to be said and does what has to be done, with no concerns for getting her hands dirty. She’s level-headed, not easily angered, pissed off, or upset, because she sees through attempts to manipulate her like Plexiglas. She possesses an unshakeable common sense and almost brutal honesty along with a wickedly unique sense of humour.
With an acerbic personality, Cassie has a tendency to come across quite strongly. While lacking in charismatic appeal and almost never the leader of a group, Cassie has certain strength to her personality and fire to her charm that lets people know that she will be there to get the job done, no matter how much audacity it takes to get there, and she has an outlook on life that is slightly cynical but overall down-to-earth and level-headed.
Cassie is... the rebel child. She possesses flaming independence and disregard for rules or laws; whatever's good for her goes, and that's that. This goes to the extent that occasionally she will purposely defy any rules and laws imposed upon her just to prove that she cannot be contained.
There is a difference between 'independent thought' and 'anti-conformist'. Galileo was an independent thinker, who discovered that the Earth was round and orbited the sun, not the other way around. An anti-conformist might be driving down a one-way road, and think it fun to turn around and go the other way just for the shits and giggles. Cassie is one of these people. Her behaviour is still group dependant, as she does just the opposite of what everyone else is doing, sometimes just to be dangerous, just to prove that she can't be tied down by rules or regulations. Though, even when being stupidly reckless, her survival instinct always kicks in right at the most lethal moment. If it didn't, she wouldn't be around today.
Lastly, there is her pure will to survive. She's a fighter. Always has been, and damn well always will be. Call it her 'spidey sense' if you will, or her 'gut instinct', but if there's something potentially fatal, she can tell. I mean, come on, this girl was pretty much raised on the streets; she can practically smell danger.
Cassie has an unshakable cynicism. It makes her distant towards nearly everyone, as she suspects the worst. Every man lingering on a street corner is a potential rapist or murderer. Again, this is part of her survival instinct. Not everyone is out to do harm, but some certainly are. Others call her a pessimist, but Cassie calls herself a realist, treating almost everyone around her with thinly veiled suspicion.
Despite all this, there are good things about her, but they're the kind of things where you've gotta squint to see 'em. She's truthful, she’s honest, and she'll tell things like it is even when subtlety would be a more appropriate course of action. She'll keep herself out of trouble for as long as she can, and her streetwise knowledge is second to none. She's pretty easy to talk to when she not armed, but most of all, in spite of all the barbs you have to get past, she's got good intentions, really.
The Past
~Family Members: Parents and siblings.
~History: Can you say ghetto? Shitty streets lined with shitty people? Well Cassie can say that nicely! Hell, she even has a word for it; home.
Life had always been like that. Her mother raised her alone in the city of Leeds. Growing up, Cassie was surrounded by murder and violence as the factions warred over her city, and it never fazed her in the slightest.
As a kid, Cassie was the kind that one look at and you knew she was the one stealing the glue because she liked to smell it, the one that when you said “alright, people, don't do this”, her dumb ass ran off to accomplish it as fast as possible. You see, Cassie never liked rules. She thought they were dumb. Telling people what they couldn't do was as good as asking them to go do it! So Cassie had decided as a young lass that she would personally show people how dumb rules were by breaking all that she could. Every freaking chance she got she would take it.
Cassie and authority had never clicked well. They said do this, she said suck this. They told her where to go, she told them where they could go. It's nothing short of a miracle that both sides lasted until Cassie was eighteen and moved away from Leeds.
From there she did what she knew how to. She wreaked havoc, eventually allying herself (though not without her scepticism) with a little band of Raiders. With them, she travelled the countryside, intercepting Settlers and freelancers and cleaning them out of everything they had.
Since then, she has gone it alone.
